Annual Business Survey of Economic Impact
The Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation conducts an Annual Business Survey among 4,000 client companies of the three development agencies (IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and Udaras na Gaeltachta) with 10 or more employees.

This survey is used primarily to evaluate the economic impact of state-assisted companies in terms of their output (covering domestic sales, exports and export markets), expenditure in the Irish economy (covering payroll, materials, services, research & development) and corporation tax.
Insight Statistical Consulting provides expert questionnaire design, data collection (online), non-response follow-up, complex weighting for non-response, data analysis, key tabular outputs, and commentary on results. Insight works in partnership with each of the agencies to successfully complete the project.
A detailed series of tabular economic outputs a time period 2000-2014/15, e.g. exports, employment, research & development, taxation. The latest published report can be viewed here.
The latest results from Enterprise Ireland were presented in May 2017 by Julie Sinnamon, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, An Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mary Mitchell O’Connor.
